Superwoman
Welcome To Superwoman
Superwoman 6 in the City inspired, motivated and energised every single one of the 160 superwomen attending. The evening was opened by the Admiral choir, trained by Sing and Inspire. Our speakers were Laura Tenison, MBE, Veuve Clicquot’s Business Woman of the Year 2010 and founder and managing director of Newport based JoJo Maman Bébé; Professor Judith Hall, Welsh Woman of the Year 2008, Head of the Department of Anaesthetics at Cardiff University and founder of charity Mothers of Africa; and Liz Mihell, managing director of John Lewis Cardiff. Sponsored by Pitman Training Cardiff, Hodge Bakshi Chartered Accountants and SCS Aftercare, the event raised £5,000 for Valleys Kids and Nema Foundation, the chosen charity of JoJo Maman Bébé. Valleys Kids choir also gave an energetic and moving performance before the networking session over wine and canapés. A goody bag stuffed with treats donated by a wide range of generous businesses topped off a wonderful evening.
